The Art of Magic is more than just a magic show... It’s an entire evening filled with beautiful magic inspired art, and an incredible and interactive magic show featuring two of Toronto’s top magicians, plus some magical surprises you have to see to believe!


Get ready for an unforgettable evening of magic, illusions, mentalism, and wonder - starring two of Canada’s most celebrated magicians, Jonah Babins and Ben Train. They both perform hundreds of shows every year with The Toronto Magic Company, for companies, V.I.P’s and more! They’ve been featured twice on Penn and Teller: Fool Us for their creative magic, and they're bringing that magic to the intimate stage of the Allied Music Centre Theatre!


Designed for audiences ages 12 and up, The Art of Magic is an impossible, hilarious show that you won’t forget!

Ben Train

Ben Train is an award-winning mentalist who has performed thousands of shows across North America and Europe, and was recently featured on the hit show Penn and Teller's Fool Us.

When he isn't on stage Ben is busy behind the scenes, producing live shows for the The Toronto Magic Company and lecturing on his original magic to magicians all over the world.

Ben has written two books and produced two DVDs on magic, and has been the magic consultant for TV and film (including Amazon's The Boys).

Jonah Babins

Jonah is a young Canadian superstar in the world of magic, known for his hilarious performances as a Toronto magician. He performs in hundreds of shows a year! As the recent winner of the Alan Slaight Award for Canadian Rising Star in Magic, and FISM nominee he has been acknowledged for his significant contributions to the magic community.

In addition to his live performances, Jonah is also known for his engaging presence in the world of magic media. He's the host of the globally acclaimed podcast, Discourse in Magic, a must-listen for magicians and enthusiasts in Toronto and beyond, with downloads exceeding a million from listeners all over the world.

Jonah's acclaim includes memorable appearances on Penn and Teller's Fool Us, and features in prominent media such as Narcity Canada, BlogTo, Breakfast Television, and the Toronto Star, highlighting his entertaining blend of comedy magic.

Getting to Allied Music Centre Theatre

Allied Music Centre Theatre is located at 178 Victoria Street (corner of Shuter Street & Victoria) and is on the sixth floor of Allied Music Centre.

The venue is accessed via an elevator from the Allied Music Centre entrance.

By Subway
Massey Hall is a short walk from both Dundas and Queen stations on the Yonge Line.

  • From Dundas Station: Walk south on Yonge, then turn left on Shuter Street.
  • From Queen Station: Walk north on Yonge, then turn right on Shuter Street.

By GO Transit or VIA Rail
From Union Station, take the Yonge subway line north to Queen Station and exit via the north platform.

Parking
Massey Hall does not have its own parking lot, but several options are available nearby:

  • Eaton Centre underground lot (entrance at Yonge & Shuter)
  • Green P at 25 Dundas St. E. (at O'Keefe)
  • Green P at 37 Queen St. E. (at Victoria)

Bag Policy

Bags are discouraged and subject to security screening. Bags larger than 14" x 14" x 6" are not permitted. Allowed bags must be soft-sided and fit completely under your seat.

Accessibility

Allied Music Centre is committed to creating an inclusive experience for all guests. Recent upgrades include enhanced amenities, accessible seating, and—for the first time in our 126-year history—elevator access to bars, washrooms, and upper levels via the 178 Victoria Street entrance (southeast corner).

Allied Music Centre Theatre is a fully seated, general admission theatre space, accessed on the sixth floor of Allied Music Centre.

Bars and Washroom Access

Bars and washrooms are available on the sixth floor of Allied Music Centre, adjacent to the Theatre.

Coat Check

Coat check is available next to the bar outside of the Theatre.

Security

For everyone’s safety, all guests will go through a quick security screening before entering, including bag checks and metal detectors.

Why are there service charges?
Service fees cover the operational costs of ticketing and vary by event and promoter requirements.

Can I get a refund?
Refunds are only available:

  • If you purchase Booking Protect at checkout (via our third-party partner)
  • If an event is cancelled

For postponed events, we’ll contact you with your options.
Cash refunds are not available; alternate arrangements will be offered if needed.

How do I get my tickets?
All tickets are delivered digitally. You’ll receive two emails:

  1. A confirmation email
  2. A PDF ticket email (check your spam/junk folder)

Choose Print-at-Home or Mobile Delivery and present your ticket on your phone or as a printed copy at the venue.

Mobile Tickets

What is a mobile ticket? Tickets are delivered digitally and scanned from your mobile device for a seamless, contactless experience.

Purchase tickets at www.masseyhall.com. Tickets bought via Ticketmaster can be accessed through the Ticketmaster mobile app.
