Press Release:
NEW JULIAN TAYLOR BAND ALBUM LIVE AT TD MUSIC HALL AVAILABLE TODAY ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF TAYLOR’S SOLD-OUT TD MUSIC HALL PERFORMANCE
FIRST ALBUM EVER TO BE RECORDED, MIXED IN STEREO & DOLBY ATMOS ENTIRELY AT ALLIED MUSIC CENTRE
(TORONTO – December 6, 2024) – Allied Music Centre today proudly announces the release of Julian Taylor Band Live at TD Music Hall by acclaimed Toronto singer-songwriter Julian Taylor on the one-year anniversary of his sold-out December 6, 2023, TD Music Hall show.
Julian Taylor Band Live at TD Music Hall is the first album ever to be recorded, mixed and produced entirely in Allied Music Centre’s state-of-the art facilities – straight from the stage at TD Music Hall to the Deane Cameron Recording Studio in Dolby Atmos.
“Any time you get a chance to record a live show, you gotta take it, so when the team behind Massey Hall offered to record it via their new Deane Cameron state-of-the-art studio equipped with the best gear that the world has to offer, it was a no brainer.”
- Julian Taylor
This career spanning TD Music Hall set sees the Julian Taylor Band playing with a newfound sense of comradery stronger than that on any record in Taylor’s back catalogue.
The album’s focus track is a lively rendition of the warm and nostalgic yet a touch unsettling production which characterizes “The Ridge,” the Americana title track from Taylor’s breakout 2020 record which chronicles his childhood summers spent with his sister, aunt, and grandparents at the latter’s farm in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.

Julian Taylor Band Live at TD Music Hall was recorded and mixed in Stereo & Dolby ATMOS by Doug McKendrick, VP of Production & Technology at Allied Music Centre, home of Massey Hall and TD Music Hall. The stereo version mastered by Noah Mintz at Lacquer Channel.
“It was a true pleasure to capture this amazing evening of music, and we are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Julian Taylor and the band on the first in house album project to be released.”
